Bangladesh Ministry Orders Surveillance and Feedback Boxes in Land Offices
The Ministry of Land has directed authorities to install CCTV cameras and feedback boxes across district land service centers in 61 districts. Additionally, awareness banners and kiosk machines are being implemented under a newly formulated guideline.
In a significant administrative development aimed at enhancing transparency and public engagement, authorities in Bangladesh have been instructed to install feedback boxes, awareness banners, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at district land service centers. Furthermore, the directive includes the operationalization of kiosk machines across these designated facilities to streamline services for citizens interacting with local land administration.
This comprehensive initiative encompasses a total of sixty-one districts throughout the country. The instructions were formally issued by the Digitalization, Knowledge Management, and Performance (DKMP) wing of the Ministry of Land. The formal directives regarding these operational enhancements were communicated to the respective Deputy Commissioners of the sixty-one districts on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
The nationwide establishment of these district land service centers has been undertaken through the direct initiative of the Ministry of Land, with active cooperation and support from the Land Management Automation Project. To ensure standardized operations and proper governance of these facilities, the authorities have officially formulated and introduced the 'District Land Service Center Management Guideline, 2026'.
As part of the continuous monitoring and accountability framework established by the central administration, the performance and operational activities of these district land service centers will undergo formal reviews. Specifically, the Ministry of Land has announced that it will evaluate the functioning and service delivery of the centers on a regular basis, occurring once every three months.
