Bangladesh Girls Programming Contest 2026 Kicks Off
The official journey of the Bangladesh Girls Programming Contest 2026 has begun with a formal agreement. Jointly organized by BFF and BDOOSN, the initiative aims to increase women's participation in the technology sector.
In an effort to significantly boost the participation of women within the technology sector, the Bangladesh Girls Programming Contest 2026 (BDGPC) has officially commenced its journey in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The formal launch and signing of a memorandum of understanding marked the beginning of this significant nationwide initiative, which is designed to encourage and empower young women in the field of computer programming and information technology.
The prestigious competition is being organized through a collaborative joint effort between the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) and the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOOSN). Both organizations have united their resources and expertise to ensure the successful planning and execution of the 2026 contest, providing a dedicated platform for female programmers across the country to showcase their technical skills and talents.
During the official event held on Sunday in Dhaka, key representatives from both organizing entities formalized their partnership. Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, serving as the Executive Director of the Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF), signed the memorandum of understanding on behalf of his organization. Concurrently, Munir Hasan, the President of the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BDOOSN), put his signature to the agreement representing BDOOSN.
Following the formal launch and the signing of the cooperative agreement, organizers announced the preliminary schedule for the competition. The preliminary rounds of the Bangladesh Girls Programming Contest 2026 are officially scheduled to take place in the upcoming month of October, providing competitors from various regions an opportunity to qualify for the final stages.
The culmination of the nationwide contest will take place in Dhaka, where the grand national final competition and the subsequent prize-giving ceremony are scheduled to be held on October 24. This concluding event in Dhaka will celebrate the achievements of the participating women and recognize the top programmers of the Bangladesh Girls Programming Contest 2026.
