Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro Series and Unveils Foldable iPhone Duo
Apple has officially launched and started selling the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max across multiple global cities. Additionally, the technology giant has introduced its first foldable device, the iPhone Duo, ahead of its scheduled release.
Technology giant Apple has officially launched its highly anticipated new lineup, bringing the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max to consumers worldwide. The global release and start of sales took place yesterday on Friday, with long queues forming internationally. Notably, approximately 200 eager people were seen waiting outside the Apple Store on Orchard Road in Singapore to get their hands on the latest devices.
The international rollout spanned across multiple locations, with launch and sales activities recorded in New York, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Singapore, Hangzhou, and the United States. Providing pricing details for the UK market, the base model of the iPhone 18 Pro starts at 1,199 pounds, while the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at 1,299 pounds.
Under the hood, both the iPhone 18 Pro and the iPhone 18 Pro Max are powered by Apple's newly developed A20 Pro chip. Highlighting the technological leaps in the new generation, Greg Joswiak stated that the iPhone 18 Pro features major improvements in camera capabilities, overall performance, battery life, and artificial intelligence, emphasizing that these changes represent a massive advancement for the Pro series rather than just minor updates.
In terms of photographic capabilities, the iPhone 18 Pro series incorporates a variable aperture alongside a newly integrated 48-megapixel fusion main camera system. These hardware upgrades are designed to significantly elevate the user experience across all supported photography and videography applications.
Alongside the traditional form factors, Apple also made waves by introducing its very first foldable smartphone, named the iPhone Duo. The foldable device features a 7.6-inch internal display paired with a 5.4-inch external display. According to the announcement, the iPhone Duo is scheduled to officially begin sales on October 23, with pricing set between 1,999 and 3,199 pounds, while the starting price in the United States will be 1,999 dollars.
