Eleventh-grade classes for the 2026-27 academic year in Bangladesh are facing a possible postponement of their initial start date. The potential schedule change is attributed to the observance of the Fatiha-e-Yazdaham holiday, which falls during the transition period of the incoming student intake. Educational authorities are currently reviewing the calendar as the transition moves through its final phases.

Prior to the potential adjustment, the academic calendar specified that the eleventh-grade classes for the 2026-27 academic year were originally scheduled to officially commence on September 23. This date has served as the baseline for prospective students, educational institutions, and administrative boards as they coordinate the massive annual transition of students entering the higher secondary education level.

The administrative process leading up to this point involved a structured application window. Online applications for admission to the higher secondary programs were formally accepted starting from September 2. The submission portal remained open for prospective students until the deadline on September 13 at 8 PM, allowing applicants to register their college choices across the country.

Following the conclusion of the application window, the administrative schedule dictates the subsequent release of selection outcomes. The results identifying the selected students for various institutions will be officially published on September 16 at 8 PM. Once these results are made public, accepted applicants will enter a confirmation phase.

Selected students are required to complete their admission confirmations within a specific timeframe, having until September 18 at 8 PM to finalize this step. Following the initial confirmation window, the educational boards will process student preferences and academic placements for those seeking changes to their assignments.

Subsequent administrative milestones include the publication of migration results based on the students' original preference orders, which is scheduled to be released on September 19 at 8 PM. Concluding the enrollment cycle, formal admission activities will officially run from September 20 to September 22, directly preceding the originally planned class start date.
