Bangladesh Appoints Chairman and Members to Invest Bangladesh Authority
The government has appointed a chairman and three members to the newly enacted Invest Bangladesh Authority. The Ministry of Public Administration issued notifications regarding these appointments on August 21 and August 22, 2026.

The government of Bangladesh has officially appointed a chairman and three members to the newly enacted Invest Bangladesh Authority. These significant appointments follow the recent enactment of the 'Invest Bangladesh Law, 2026', establishing a formal leadership structure for the newly formed authority based in Dhaka.
Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun has been appointed to serve as the Chairman of the Invest Bangladesh Authority. According to the official documentation, his appointment to this critical leadership position has been established on a one-year contract.
In addition to the chairmanship, the administration has filled key member positions within the authority. Nahiyan Rahman Rochi and Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Md. Shaharul Huda have both been appointed as members of the Invest Bangladesh Authority on contract terms.
Furthermore, structural changes include the advancement of Md. Abdur Razzak Sarkar. He was promoted to the rank of secretary by the government and subsequently appointed as a member of the Invest Bangladesh Authority.
The official confirmations and formal announcements regarding these high-level administrative positions were processed through the Ministry of Public Administration. The ministry issued the respective notifications concerning these key appointments across two consecutive days, on August 21 and August 22, 2026.
