The education authorities in Bangladesh have officially released the schedule and guidelines for the upcoming Junior Scholarship Examination, tailored specifically for eighth-grade students across the country. According to the newly announced timeline, the comprehensive testing period is scheduled to commence on December 8, 2026, providing students and educational institutions several months to prepare.

The examinations will be distributed across four distinct dates in the month of December. The testing sequence opens with Bangla on December 8, followed by English on December 10, Mathematics on December 13, and concludes with Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies on December 15. All daily examination sessions are slated to run consistently from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM throughout the testing period.

A detailed breakdown of the evaluation structure reveals that the overall assessment is calculated based on a cumulative total of 400 marks across four core subjects. Individual marks are assigned as 100 for Bangla, 100 for English, and 100 for Mathematics. Meanwhile, the combined final day covers Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies, which are allocated 50 marks each.

Regarding duration, the examination periods vary by subject structure. The tests for Bangla, English, and Mathematics are each designated a three-hour duration. In contrast, the examinations for Science and Bangladesh and Global Studies are allotted one hour and thirty minutes each, resulting in a combined duration of three hours for the final day.

Strict administrative protocols have also been established for the participants regarding logistical arrangements and venue entry. Students must collect their official admit cards no later than seven days prior to the commencement of the exams directly from their respective institution heads. Additionally, all examinees are strictly required to enter the designated examination room and be seated at least 30 minutes before the official start time.

In an effort to maintain security and integrity within the testing facilities, stringent regulations have been enacted concerning electronic devices. Only designated center secretaries are granted permission to bring mobile phones or other electronic devices into the exam center. Examinees and all other individuals are strictly prohibited from carrying such devices.
