Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAAU) has officially implemented a comprehensive reshuffle across multiple important administrative positions within the institution. The official orders regarding these significant structural changes were issued on August 20, 2026, with the updates taking effect formally by August 21, 2026. This extensive wave of administrative transitions impacts various academic divisions, specialized research bodies, and student welfare offices across the university campus.

Among the prominent appointments announced in the official directives, Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sardar has been designated as the new Student Affairs Adviser for the university. In addition to this key welfare leadership role, Professor Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam has been appointed to serve alongside him as the Associate Student Affairs Adviser, aiming to strengthen student support services and campus administration.

Further expanding the administrative updates within the institution’s research framework, Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam Bhuiyan has taken on the vital responsibility of serving as the new Director of the Bangladesh Agricultural University Research System (BAURES).
