AIUB Hosts Three-Day Animation, AR and Digital Art Exhibition in Dhaka

American International University-Bangladesh has launched a three-day exhibition featuring animation, augmented reality, and digital art on its campus. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Philippines to Bangladesh as the chief guest.

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, has successfully hosted a comprehensive three-day exhibition dedicated to animation, augmented reality (AR), and digital art. The campus event officially commenced on August 23, drawing attention to the growing fields of digital media and creative technology among students and academic professionals alike.

The inauguration ceremony of the three-day exhibition was graced by the Ambassador of the Philippines to Bangladesh, Nina P. Cainglet, who participated as the chief guest for the opening proceedings. During the event, Ambassador Cainglet highlighted the role of her country in the sector, stating that the global animation industry benefits from the significant contributions of the Philippines. She specifically noted that the nation has established itself as an important animation hub, particularly within the domains of digital and interactive mass media.

Addressing the gathering at the AIUB campus, Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan emphasized the importance of modern educational frameworks in a rapidly shifting global landscape. He stated that in a changing world, students must be provided with the valuable opportunity to acquire knowledge regarding new and emerging subjects.

Further outlining the institution's strategic academic vision during the proceedings, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna announced that American International University-Bangladesh is actively taking initiatives to launch a brand new academic department centered entirely around the field of animation.

The exhibition also featured the presence of several distinguished figures and university officials, including Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Professor Dr. Tajul Islam, Ranie Ellen V. Ramos, and Professor Dr. Pradeep Kumar Pandey. Together, the attendees and organizers marked a significant milestone for the institution's engagement with contemporary digital arts and interactive technologies.
