The United States government has officially imposed strict sanctions targeting four Indian companies and three individual Indian citizens. This significant international trade and diplomatic development was announced on August 26, 2026. According to the official disclosures, the punitive measures are directly tied to allegations that the concerned parties were actively involved in Iran's petroleum and petrochemical trade. The coordinated actions were initiated by the United States Department of State and the U.S. Treasury Department as part of broader enforcement efforts impacting approximately 60 individuals, entities, and vessels globally.

Among the targeted corporate entities based in India, the United States authorities specifically designated four distinct companies. These sanctioned business organizations are Portiz Partners LLP, Sadashiba Overseas Limited, PP Softech Private Limited, and Prakritij Infra Impex India Private Limited. Each of these four Indian companies now faces severe financial and economic restrictions under the U.S. regulatory framework for their alleged commercial connections to the Iranian petroleum and petrochemical sectors.

In addition to the corporate entities, the fresh round of U.S. sanctions extends to three individual Indian citizens. The identified nationals facing these restrictive measures are Harish Ramchandra Rangi, Indrismiyan Ashrafmiyan Shaikh, and Prashant Garg. These individuals have been personally linked by American authorities to the illicit facilitation or management of trade operations involving Iranian petroleum and petrochemical products.

The broader sanctions initiative by the United States targets an extensive network comprising roughly 60 distinct individuals, institutions, and maritime vessels. Within this larger global crackdown, financial tracking reports indicate transactions and economic activities valued at approximately 69 million dollars as well as approximately 25 million dollars associated with the wider scope of the targeted operations. The measures are designed to curb the flow of commerce linked to Iran's energy and petrochemical industries by penalizing those who participate in or facilitate such trade.

The imposition of these sanctions highlights the ongoing strict enforcement by Washington regarding international trade restrictions involving Iran. Both the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Treasury Department continue to monitor and penalize foreign companies and nationals who engage in commercial dealings with the Iranian petroleum and petrochemical sectors, reinforcing the comprehensive global embargo framework.
