Russia Demands US and Turkey Explain Alleged Weapons Plan
Moscow is demanding answers from Washington and Ankara over intelligence reports of US weapons shipments to Ukraine routed through Turkey. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned that failing to provide a logical explanation could severely damage diplomatic ties.

Moscow has formally demanded an explanation from both the United States and Turkey regarding alleged intelligence reports indicating a clandestine plan to supply American weapons to Ukraine through Turkish territory. The diplomatic standoff centers on accusations that Washington is attempting to funnel substantial military hardware into the conflict zone via strategic maritime and land routes managed by Ankara.
According to statements released on Saturday by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, intelligence sources indicate that the United States is preparing to dispatch massive quantities of advanced armaments and ammunition. Under the alleged scheme, these lethal military supplies would arrive initially at Turkish ports before being forwarded onwards to Ukrainian forces.
Addressing reporters regarding the sensitive security development, Maria Zakharova stated that intelligence sources indicate the United States is initiating moves to deliver vast amounts of weaponry and ammunition. The spokesperson detailed that these military supplies and munitions are reportedly scheduled to arrive first at designated Turkish ports, followed by subsequent transit shipments directly to Ukraine.
Elaborating further on the ultimatum, Maria Zakharova warned that Russia is actively seeking official clarifications from both Washington and Ankara concerning this covert weapons delivery issue. The Russian diplomat explicitly cautioned that if no rational and logical explanation is forthcoming from the involved governments, the diplomatic relations connecting Moscow, Washington, and Ankara will suffer severe and lasting damages.
The intensifying dispute over alleged supply channels coincides with heightened battlefield tensions and direct military escalations reported inside Russian territory. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently confirmed that United States-manufactured long-range missiles, specifically identified as Flamingo systems, were deployed during a successful tactical strike targeting critical Roscosmos facilities situated within Russia's Samara province.
