Rampal Power Plant Demonstrates Generation Capacity and Grid Supply

The Rampal Maitree Thermal Power Plant, located in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, has highlighted its ongoing role in national energy security through consistent electricity generation and supply to the national grid. With an established capacity of 1,320 megawatts, the facility continues to meet designated energy demands while maintaining standard operational protocols.

Official production records for the current operating period indicate substantial output. Specifically, from August 1 to August 25, the power plant successfully generated a total of 643.6 million units of electricity. This follows earlier high-performance periods, which notably included a production volume of 827.3 million units of electricity during the month of June.

Addressing the plant's operational management, Anwarul Azim noted a significant transition in technical personnel at the facility. According to Azim, Indian engineers previously trained the newly appointed Bangladeshi engineers, and those Indian engineers now serve in advisory roles. Consequently, the core power plant is currently operated directly by Bangladeshi engineers.

Highlighting the environmental and international standing of the facility, Khán Noman Shibli stated that the Rampal Power Plant holds international recognition. Shibli emphasized that the power plant continues its electricity production activities without causing any damage to the environment.

Reinforcing these statements regarding capacity and grid integration, Ramanath Pujari detailed the facility's alignment with national needs. Pujari noted that the Rampal thermal power plant possesses a production capacity of 1,320 megawatts, supplying electricity to the national grid strictly in accordance with the exact demand required. Pujari reaffirmed that all activities are conducted while preserving the environment, and the supply of electricity to the national grid will continue to meet demands in the coming days.
