The National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo (NICE) 2026 was officially inaugurated on 29 August 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This major three-day exhibition serves as a significant platform for showcasing technological advancements and commercialisation efforts within the nation.
The grand opening ceremony of the exhibition was graced and inaugurated by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. During the inaugural event, the Prime Minister highlighted the critical need to strengthen innovation in order to accelerate economic growth, enhance national competitiveness, and build a knowledge-based and future-oriented society.
Emphasizing the ethical dimensions of modern technology, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim also stated that the rapid advancements in science, technology, and artificial intelligence (AI) must proceed in careful coordination with human values, culture, and humanity.
The high-profile event is being organized by the Malaysian Research Acceleration and Technology and Innovation (MRANTI). The exhibition operates under a key initiative led by the Malaysian Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).
This year's exhibition has been organized under the guiding theme of 'Mission to the Market, Malaysia to the World'. Through this theme, the event seeks to propel local innovations into broader commercial markets and establish Malaysia's presence on the global stage.
