Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his warm congratulations to the citizens of India following the announcement that the country's economy expanded by 7.8 percent during the April-June quarter. The official statistics confirm the robust economic performance, which has become a significant talking point on the national stage. Prime Minister Modi delivered his remarks and congratulatory message through a video posted on Instagram while he was in Kyrgyzstan.

Addressing the nation regarding the latest economic figures, the Prime Minister expressed immense satisfaction with the financial progress. He stated that the people of the country deserve many congratulations, noting that the 7.8 percent growth rate has filled the entire nation with joy. Furthermore, he commended the public for their strength of resolve and hard work, emphasizing that this economic milestone is a direct reflection of India's collective strength and perseverance.

Highlighting the broader global context, Prime Minister Modi pointed out the various international challenges currently unfolding across the world. He observed that the world today is immersed in conflict, with news of war coming from all directions and crises surrounding the global community. Additionally, he noted that supply chains have been severely disrupted and that, ever since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 up to the present day, stability has been absent globally. Despite these persistent international headwinds, the Prime Minister stressed that India continues to forge ahead at a rapid pace.

As part of his address, the Indian leader issued several specific appeals to the populace aimed at boosting the domestic economy and retaining wealth within the country. He explicitly urged citizens not to travel abroad for tourism purposes and advised them to refrain from organizing destination weddings in foreign countries. Instead, he promoted the guiding principle of 'Wed in India', encouraging citizens to celebrate domestic milestones at home. Moreover, he advised people to avoid purchasing gold unless it is absolutely necessary.

Concluding his comprehensive message, Prime Minister Modi placed a strong emphasis on the importance of national self-reliance and local economic participation. He explained that the more citizens choose local products and services, the more India will prosper and advance. The Prime Minister expressed his firm belief that if the nation continues to emphasize self-reliance, it will successfully deliver a developed India into the hands of the youth by the time the country reaches the 100th year of its independence.
