Indian Nationals Stranded on Nepal-China Border After Severe Flooding

As the scale of the disruption becomes clearer, official figures indicate that at least 288 Indian nationals are currently unaccounted for, raising deep concerns among families and government authorities alike. In addition to those whose whereabouts remain unknown, approximately 200 Indian citizens are confirmed to be trapped within Tibet as rising waters and blocked pathways hamper movement across the border region.

Authorities have confirmed that 21 Indian nationals hailing from Tamil Nadu, who had traveled to the region specifically for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, have been successfully rescued within Nepal. Further detailing the localized impact of the floods, reports indicate that 95 Indian pilgrims are currently staying in Darchen, a small town situated near the foothills of Mount Kailash.
