According to the official findings released by the authorities, both players were handed a fine amounting to twenty-five percent of their respective match fees. The governing body determined that the actions of both the Indian batsman and the Sri Lankan fast bowler constituted a direct breach of Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
