State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque has officially announced that three hundred and six talented athletes, selected from the grassroots level across the country, will receive specialized training at the Bangladesh Krira Shiksha Protishtan (BKSP) entirely at government expense. This significant sports development initiative was revealed during a formal public event held on Wednesday.

The announcement was made at the newly inaugurated upazila mini-stadium located in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj district. The inauguration of this sports facility and the accompanying athlete training announcement mark a notable step forward for regional sports infrastructure and youth development within the area.

According to the official schedule confirmed during the event, the intensive training program for the selected athletes is scheduled to commence shortly. The comprehensive two-month training camp will officially begin on September 19 at the BKSP facilities, providing these young sports talents with professional coaching and institutional support.

The broader initiative draws from a massive talent pool involving one hundred and sixty-eight thousand adolescents and teenagers from across the grassroots levels. Out of this extensive number of participants, the final selection of three hundred and six talented individuals was made to undergo the upcoming government-sponsored residential training.

This landmark decision by the Ministry of Youth and Sports aims to nurture and develop raw athletic potential from remote and local areas into professional sporting excellence. By covering all expenses through state funding, the government seeks to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder the future prospects of promising young athletes in the country.
