The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched two new satellites, namely the Fluorescence Explorer (FLEX) and Sentinel-3C, to monitor critical environmental and ecological conditions on Earth. According to the verified facts, the FLEX satellite has been specifically launched to observe the extremely faint fluorescence emitted during plant photosynthesis. This technological capability is designed to help scientists obtain essential data regarding the direct impact of heatwaves on various plants.

Providing further details on its operational capacity, the FLEX satellite will orbit our planet an impressive 14 times a day. Regarding its ultimate scientific utility, the European Space Agency (ESA) stated that the satellite will help scientists evaluate plant health, ecosystem productivity, and the impacts of environmental stress and climate change.

In addition to the FLEX mission, the Sentinel-3C satellite has been launched as part of Copernicus, which is the Earth observation component of the European Union's space program. This particular spacecraft is tasked with collecting vital marine environment data, which includes comprehensive measurements of ocean temperatures, wave heights, and ocean currents.

Furthermore, the Sentinel-3C satellite has a dedicated mission focus aimed at addressing global agricultural challenges. The spacecraft will continuously observe land use and land cover with the explicit objective of maximizing crop yields, which in turn will play a critical role in preventing future food crises.

The combined deployment of both the FLEX and Sentinel-3C satellites represents a major expansion in Earth observation capabilities. By tracking both delicate botanical processes from space and large-scale oceanic and terrestrial shifts, these missions provide researchers and policymakers with unprecedented environmental data.
