Dhaka Weather Forecast: Partly Cloudy Skies and Light Rain Expected
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has released the weather forecast for Dhaka and its adjacent areas on Monday. Authorities report light rain or thunder showers alongside varying temperature and humidity readings.
According to the official weather update issued on Monday, September 7, 2020, Dhaka and its surrounding areas are experiencing partly cloudy to temporarily cloudy skies. The local forecast for the day indicates that residents may encounter light rain or thunder showers as atmospheric conditions develop across the region. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department, through its storm warning center, continues to monitor the meteorological patterns affecting the capital and nearby zones.
Meteorological observations recorded early in the morning provide specific data regarding the prevailing atmospheric state in Dhaka. Wind patterns are expected to originate from the south or south-east direction, maintaining a speed ranging between 8 and 12 kilometres per hour. In addition to the gentle breeze, humidity and temperature measurements have been documented by various reporting sources to reflect the current climatic conditions.
Regarding temperature and humidity figures recorded at 6:00 AM today, reports vary slightly among different publications. Ittefaq noted the morning temperature at 28.1 degrees Celsius with a relative humidity of 97 percent, whereas Bangla Tribune recorded the temperature at 28.5 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 88 percent. Furthermore, the minimum temperature recorded earlier today was noted as 27.2 degrees Celsius by Ittefaq and 28.0 degrees Celsius by Bangla Tribune.
Looking back at the climate data from the previous day, the maximum temperature reached 32.3 degrees Celsius according to Ittefaq, while Bangla Tribune reported a maximum of 33.0 degrees Celsius. Precipitation levels over the past 24 hours were minimal, with Ittefaq recording 1.6 millimetres of rainfall and Bangla Tribune logging a trace amount of precipitation.
As the day progresses, the sun is scheduled to set in Dhaka at 6:11 PM according to Ittefaq, or 6:12 PM according to Bangla Tribune, following this morning's sunrise which occurred at 5:42 AM. Meanwhile, the storm warning center of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has confirmed that from 5:00 AM until 1:00 PM today, no cautionary signals have been issued for the inland river ports of the country.
