Dhaka University Alumni of BC Holds Annual Picnic in Canada

The Dhaka University Alumni of BC, an organization representing former students of Dhaka University living in Vancouver and surrounding areas, recently hosted its annual picnic and reunion. The festive gathering brought together community members for a day of celebration, connection, and shared nostalgia in a scenic outdoor setting.

The day-long event was held on September 5 at Bear Creek Park, located in the city of Surrey within the Canadian province of British Columbia. The organization has a relatively recent history in the region, having first begun its journey in 2022 under the name 'Ex-Student Poribar'. As the community of former Dhaka University students grew, the group was subsequently renamed 'Dhaka University Alumni of BC' to better reflect its institutional roots and broader membership.

The successful gathering in Surrey highlights the active presence of the alumni network in Canada, fostering a sense of home and camaraderie among former students living far from their alma mater.
