BTV Package Preview Committee Reconstituted in Dhaka

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Dhaka, Bangladesh, has officially announced the reconstitution of the committee responsible for evaluating and scrutinizing privately produced package programs prior to their broadcast on state television. The formal restructuring of the vital review body was confirmed through an official notification issued on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

According to the official announcement, the newly restructured body takes the form of a fifteen-member committee designed to oversee the selection and screening process for all privately initiated broadcast content on Bangladesh Television. This oversight committee operates under the direct administrative purview of the TV-2 branch of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, ensuring regulatory compliance and content standards for public viewing.

Leadership of the newly organized committee has been officially assigned to Kazi Jesin, who serves as the Director General of Bangladesh Television. In the capacity of president, the Director General will head the evaluation proceedings and guide the committee in reviewing the various privately produced package programs slated for television transmission.

Alongside the appointment of the president, the administrative structure of the committee includes a designated member secretary to manage its day-to-day operations and documentation. This crucial logistical and administrative role within the fifteen-member committee has been formally entrusted to the Director of Programs and Planning at Bangladesh Television.
