Bondhushava National Board Holds Seventh Executive Meeting in Dhaka
The national board of Bondhushava held its seventh executive meeting on August 28 at the Prothom Alo office in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. During the gathering, members discussed upcoming organizational initiatives, workshops, and celebrated a member's international achievement.
The seventh executive meeting of the Bondhushava National Managing Board for the 2026–2027 term was held on the evening of August 28. The official gathering took place inside the conference room of the Prothom Alo office, located in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. A significant number of key individuals from the organization were present at the session to discuss ongoing administrative matters and future plans.
Among those attending the executive meeting were Tanvir Hasan, Ashikuzzaman Abhi, Saimon Chowdhury, Shamsuddoha Safayat, Mahafujar Rahman, Mohammad Ali Firoz, Mahmuda Muhsina Bushra, Zafar Sadik, Shakib Hasan, Touhid Imam, Aladdin Al Asad, Farhan Sakib, Taposhi Roy, Abrar Zahin, and Hasan Mahmud Samrat. Representatives from Dhaka Mahanagar Bondhushava were also part of the proceedings.
A major focus of the meeting was evaluating the current trajectory of the organization. Zafar Sadik emphasized the necessity of consistent evaluations to make Bondhushava's activities increasingly dynamic, well-planned, and of high quality. Highlighting that local Bondhushava activities have been promising this year, he urged members to maintain this continuity for the remainder of the year and execute further creative initiatives. Furthermore, he stressed that instead of merely increasing numbers, the organization must focus on the quality of work and its broader social impact.
Looking ahead toward organizational milestones, the board officially decided during the session to organize a river cruise. This special event is scheduled to mark the 28th founding anniversary of Bondhushava, which will be celebrated in the coming month of November.
In addition to anniversary planning, the executive meeting addressed upcoming educational programs for members. It was confirmed that a specialized workshop focused on presentation skills is officially set to begin on September 9.
The gathering also served as a platform to celebrate individual excellence within the organization. During the proceedings, Information and Communication Technology Secretary Mahafujar Rahman was formally recognized for being selected for the prestigious 'Aspire Leaders Program' offered by Harvard University.
