The verbal altercation quickly escalated into physical confrontation. Confirmed accounts indicate that the disagreement between the British head coach Jones and assistant coach Mishu resulted in pushing and shoving inside the hotel premises during the team's ongoing preparation period.
The situation at the Hotel Holiday Inn became severe enough that the foreign head coach felt the need to take extraordinary measures. Following the altercation, Gerard Jones dialed the emergency number 999 to summon law enforcement officers directly to the hotel location in Dhaka.
This internal conflict occurs at a highly sensitive time for the national youth setup as they finalize preparations for upcoming international fixtures. The Bangladesh under-20 football team is scheduled to depart for Uzbekistan on August 27 to take part in the upcoming qualification round.
