Bangladesh Jeweller Association Updates Gold and Silver Prices

Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus) has set new prices for gold and silver across the country, effective from September 3, 2026. The updated rates reflect significant adjustments for various purities of gold and silver jewelry.

The Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus), as reported by Jago News, has officially announced and implemented new pricing structures for both gold and silver within the domestic market of Bangladesh. This comprehensive price revision took effect on the morning of September 3, 2026, establishing updated cost parameters for buyers and sellers across the country.

Under the newly established pricing schedules by the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus), the highest quality gold currently available in the market—specifically the 22-karat variety—is being sold at a rate of 2,37,362 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori for jewelry, which inclusive of value-added tax (VAT). This price point represents the current benchmark for the country's premium gold market transactions.

In addition to the premier 22-karat category, the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus) has detailed pricing for several other grades of gold jewelry. Specifically, 21-karat gold jewelry is priced at 2,26,690 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori, while 18-karat gold jewelry is set at 1,94,614 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori. Furthermore, traditional method gold is priced at 1,58,980 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori.

Alongside the modifications to gold pricing, the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus) has also updated the market rates for silver jewelry across various purities. The current price for 22-karat silver jewelry stands at 5,132 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori, while 21-karat silver is marked at 4,957 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori.

Rounding out the precious metals schedule set by the Bangladesh Jeweller Association (Bajus), 18-karat silver is designated at 4,257 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori, and silver belonging to the traditional method is priced at 3,208 Bangladeshi Taka per bhori, completing the comprehensive domestic price framework.
