Bangladesh has issued a weather warning for several inland riverports across the country, according to an official announcement made by the Department of Meteorology. The meteorological authorities released the forecast and warning to alert local populations and authorities about incoming adverse weather conditions that are expected to affect multiple regions simultaneously.

The specific advisory covers a designated time frame beginning at 5:00 AM and extending until 1:00 PM on the 30th of August. During this period, inland riverports across various parts of the country have been instructed to remain vigilant as meteorological conditions are projected to deteriorate significantly according to the official forecasts.

According to the detailed regional breakdown provided by the Department of Meteorology, the adverse weather is expected to impact several specific areas across the nation. The designated regions facing these warnings include Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet, along with the Dhaka region.

Meteorologists have indicated that winds blowing from the south or south-easterly direction are likely to intensify significantly over these specified locations. The forecasted wind speeds are expected to reach between 45 and 60 kilometres per hour, accompanied by strong gusts and potential rainfall across the affected areas.

In response to these projected wind speeds and potential hazards, the Department of Meteorology has formally advised the inland riverports situated within all of these targeted regions to hoist cautionary signal number one as a standard safety precaution.
