In a milestone event for corporate sustainability in the country, Bangladesh has hosted its inaugural 'ESG Excellence Awards' ceremony. The high-profile event took place last Saturday at the Lakeshore Grand Hotel located in Gulshan, Dhaka, bringing together prominent business leaders and environmental advocates to celebrate corporate responsibility.

The prestigious awards program was jointly organized by the UN Global Compact Network Bangladesh and the ESG Institute Bangladesh, with support from the retail enterprise 'Swapno Super Shop'. A total of 32 organizations and three individuals were honored across 20 distinct categories during the grand ceremony for their commendable contributions to environmental, social, and governance standards.

This specific accolade was presented to three prominent leaders: Shamarukh Fakhruddin, Director of Urmi Group; Md. Subail Bin Alam, Chief Operating Officer of Rancon Infrastructures and Engineering; and S. M. Mahbubul Alam, Managing Director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries.
