Bangladesh is experiencing active monsoon conditions, prompting the meteorological department to issue a comprehensive weather forecast for the nation. According to the official update released by the Met Office, rain or thunder showers are expected to occur in many places across all eight administrative divisions of the country.

The meteorological forecast covers the twenty-four-hour period from Monday evening at 6:00 PM until Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM. During this timeframe, the widespread precipitation is anticipated to affect locations spanning across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

Authorities at the meteorological department have confirmed that the monsoon winds are currently playing a significant role in the atmospheric conditions, remaining fairly active over the territory of Bangladesh. This sustained monsoon activity is the primary driving force behind the widespread likelihood of rain and thunderstorms expected in the coming hours.

In addition to the active monsoon winds, the weather system is being influenced by another distinct meteorological development in the region. A well-marked low-pressure area that had formed over the north-west Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas has shifted its position.

According to the latest tracking data provided by weather officials, this well-marked low-pressure area is currently positioned over Gangetic West Bengal, the northern Odisha coast, and the adjacent north-west Bay of Bengal area. The combination of this persistent low-pressure system and the active monsoon continues to shape the overall weather outlook across Bangladesh.
