Bangladesh Faces Five More Days of Continued Rainfall and Storms

Residents across Bangladesh should prepare for continued wet weather as the Bangladesh Meteorological Department forecasts that the prevailing rain trend will persist throughout the country for the next five consecutive days. Weather authorities confirmed that various regions are set to experience ongoing precipitation as meteorological systems continue to shift.

According to the official forecast issued by the department, light to moderate intensity rain and thundershowers are expected to occur across many places within the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. At the same time, similar weather conditions are predicted to affect some parts of the remaining divisions across the nation.

In addition to the widespread light and moderate showers, the meteorological office has warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in isolated locations somewhere across the country. Citizens residing in vulnerable or low-lying areas within the affected zones have been advised to remain cautious about potential disruptions caused by the heavier downpours.

The persistent weather pattern is linked to a low-pressure system currently influencing the region. Forecasters have observed that this active low-pressure system is gradually weakening and is expected to merge progressively with the axis of the monsoon trough in the coming days.

As the monsoon trough consolidates and the weather system continues its gradual transition, the department expects the current rainy conditions to hold steady across the various divisions. Authorities will continue to monitor the atmospheric developments closely over the five-day forecast period to provide updated advisories if conditions intensify further.
