The Bangladesh national cricket team has commenced its intensive preparation camp and scheduled practice matches at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka, ahead of the multi-sport continental event. This crucial preparatory phase is designed to sharpen the squad's readiness as they fine-tune their skills under the supervision of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, utilizing the local facilities to build peak physical and tactical form before entering the international arena.

As part of their comprehensive itinerary leading up to the departure, the squad is scheduled to play two official practice matches at the Mirpur venue. These vital fixtures are officially slated to take place on September 21 and September 22, providing the coaching staff with an ideal opportunity to evaluate player combinations, tactical strategies, and match fitness against competitive opposition prior to the major overseas assignment.

The ongoing training camp in Mirpur is scheduled to continue actively until September 24, ensuring that the athletes maintain a strict regimen of conditioning and net sessions. Following the conclusion of this rigorous domestic camp, the national contingent will officially depart from the country for Japan on September 25, setting the stage for their overseas campaign at the 20th edition of the Asian Games.

Litton Das has been officially confirmed to lead the national squad as captain, steering the team through the challenges of the continental tournament. Alongside skipper Litton Das, the selected pool of players currently involved in the preparations and upcoming journey includes notable names such as Shanto, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, and Hasan Mahmud, forming a formidable core group for the competition.

The 20th Asian Games as a whole is officially scheduled to be held from September 19 to October 4. Within the broader schedule of the multi-sport event, the men's cricket matches are set to officially commence on September 24, while the high-stakes quarter-final matches are formally scheduled to take place on September 29.

Benefiting strongly from their favourable standing in the official rankings, the Bangladesh cricket team has secured direct qualification into the quarter-final stage of the tournament. This advantageous ranking-based placement allows the squad to bypass the preliminary group matches, directly entering the knockout phase of the competition when the quarter-finals take place on September 29.
