The Bangladesh women's junior hockey team delivered a dominant performance on Tuesday, September 8, defeating Kazakhstan by a comfortable margin of 4-0 in a Challenger Pool match of the ongoing 2026 Junior Asia Cup. The international tournament is taking place in Inner Mongolia, China, where the young Bangladeshi athletes have displayed exceptional skill and determination throughout their campaign.

Bangladesh set the tone early in the match when captain Sharika Rimon capitalized on a penalty corner opportunity. Rimon successfully converted the set-piece in the 3rd minute of the game to put Bangladesh ahead with an early 1-0 lead over Kazakhstan.

Building upon the early momentum, Bangladesh extended their advantage before the end of the opening phase. Liza Akter found the back of the net with a brilliant field goal in the 14th minute, successfully doubling her side's lead to 2-0 and putting Kazakhstan under mounting pressure.

The offensive pressure continued after halftime as Bangladesh added two more goals to seal the comprehensive victory. Zakia Afroze Lima scored a well-executed field goal in the 46th minute of the match, stretching the commanding scoreline to 3-0.

Captain Sharika Rimon capped off her impressive individual performance by scoring her second goal of the match and the team's fourth in the 51st minute. Rimon successfully converted another penalty corner, bringing the final score to 4-0 in favor of Bangladesh.

This impressive triumph marks Bangladesh's third consecutive victory in the tournament, following previous successful outings against Chinese Taipei and Pakistan. With this latest win, Bangladesh has officially become group champions with one match to spare, securing a top-six finish among the 10 competing teams. Their final group fixture will be played against Hong Kong China.
