Electricity supplies to Bangladesh from Adani Power's plant in India have fully resumed after the technical malfunction that previously affected operations at the facility was successfully resolved. The plant, situated in Godda within the Indian state of Jharkhand, has brought its second unit back into active service, enabling dual-unit generation to resume.

The disruption initially occurred when a technical fault forced the temporary shutdown of the Godda power plant's unit-2. During the period of the fault, electricity export capabilities from that specific generator were halted, impacting the overall volume of power being transmitted across the border to meet the energy demands in Bangladesh.

Following maintenance and the successful restoration of operations at the second generator, the power plant resumed generation from both of its primary units simultaneously. According to operational records, this dual-unit resumption has re-established the cross-border electricity transmission network to its expected capacity levels.

Specific generation figures recorded on Sunday afternoon at 2 PM highlight the renewed output from the facility. At that time, the Godda power plant's first unit was actively supplying 756 megawatts of electricity to Bangladesh, while the newly reactivated second unit was contributing an additional 290 megawatts to the grid.

The coordinated operation of both units underscores the ongoing energy arrangement between the facilities in Jharkhand and the receiving grid in Bangladesh. With the technical issue at unit-2 fully addressed, the plant continues to maintain its scheduled power transmission commitments without further reported interruptions.
