Tragedy in Hills Claims Three Lives After iPhone EMI Dispute

A devastating tragedy unfolded on Friday in the hills of the Tisgaon area, specifically around the Khavdya Hill and Jalta Phata region, following a dispute over installment money for an iPhone. The harrowing sequence of events began when 18-year-old Kunal Chandgude became embroiled in an argument with his father regarding the payments for the mobile device.
Amidst the heated confrontation over the iPhone financial obligations, the situation escalated dramatically when the 18-year-old Kunal Chandgude climbed up the rugged mountain. His drastic action on the elevated terrain triggered a tense and desperate situation that ultimately drew the attention of local residents and authorities.
During the nearly three-hour ordeal on the hillside, frantic attempts were made by onlookers to reason with the young man. A local individual pleaded with him during the negotiations, urging him by saying, 'Live for your mother.' Despite these emotional appeals from the community, Kunal indicated the severity of his mental state, with a speaker noting that 'he wants to die and considers this to be the only way.'
The crisis deepened further when Kunal's 48-year-old father, Murlidhar Chandgude, attempted to intervene and save his son from the perilous heights. In a heartbreaking turn of events during the rescue attempt, Murlidhar fell from the mountain and died at the scene.
The horror of the incident compounded instantly when Sangeeta, the mother and wife, witnessed the traumatic deaths of her husband and son. Overwhelmed by the shocking sight of their demise, Sangeeta also fell from the mountain and tragically lost her life, leaving local authorities to deal with the aftermath of the triple fatality.
