A three-day tourism fair is currently taking place at the InterContinental Hotel in Dhaka, drawing significant attention from travel enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. The event has been organized by the Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Association (BOTOA) to showcase a wide range of international holiday destinations and specialized travel services for visitors seeking vacation opportunities abroad.
Organizers have confirmed that while the exhibition itself spans three days at the venue, the promotional offers and special discounts introduced during the event will continue to remain active throughout the entire month of September. This extended timeline provides travelers with ample opportunity to review the available packages and make informed decisions regarding their upcoming international holiday plans.
Several prominent travel agencies are participating in the fair with attractive tour packages and price reductions. Notably, Bongo Holidays is offering a comprehensive nine-night, ten-day travel package covering three distinct European countries priced at 399,000 taka. Additionally, Amazing Tours BD Limited has introduced an appealing regional travel option, presenting a six-night, seven-day tour package to Sri Lanka for 145,000 taka.
Visitors attending the exhibition can also benefit from various operational discounts and service fee reductions provided by participating agencies. Both Vision Holiday and Go Trip are offering a substantial fifty percent discount on their respective service charges. Furthermore, visa processing fees across different categories are ranging between 10,000 and 17,000 taka at the fair.
Industry participants at the event have also noted shifting trends in international travel preferences among Bangladeshi tourists. Obayed Rahman commented on the current situation, stating that Indian visas have become somewhat complicated, which is leading many travelers to turn toward China instead, where obtaining a visa is also easier.
