South Indian cinema star Yash and the producers of the upcoming film 'Toxic' have taken formal legal action against several popular YouTubers and internet influencers. The notices were dispatched in response to various negative reviews and criticisms circulating across digital platforms. The film itself is directed by filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, who is heading the creative vision behind the much-discussed project during its current release week.

As part of the legal proceedings, the notices are being officially sent through 'Iplex Software Private Limited'. The action has already affected several prominent media personalities in the entertainment sphere. Reviewers Prashanth Rangaswamy and Suraj Kumar have both publicly confirmed that they received these legal notices. Furthermore, they shared screenshots of the official emails they received to demonstrate the authenticity of the legal communications sent to them.

The legal friction coincides with significant developments in the judicial system in Bengaluru, India. A Bengaluru court formally issued an interim stay on August 22 that will remain in effect until September 28. This court-ordered stay is specifically designed to prevent individuals from spreading malicious and defamatory information concerning the production and its associated parties.

The court ruled that fair reviews or constructive criticism are not covered under the terms of the stay, thereby protecting standard journalistic evaluations while targeting potentially malicious content.
