Sommilito Islami Bank Pays Out Tk 391 Crore to Depositors on Day Four

Sommilito Islami Bank has successfully completed the fourth day of its systematic fund return operations, providing substantial financial relief to thousands of account holders. According to official figures released on September 10, 2026, a total of 9,041 customers received their long-awaited funds on this specific day alone, amounting to an impressive disbursement of Tk 391 crore.

The current payout builds upon a consistent and heavy volume of customer transactions observed since the initiative officially began earlier this month. On the very first day of disbursements, 8,125 customers successfully withdrew Tk 319 crore. This momentum continued into the second day, which saw 7,234 customers collect Tk 340 crore, followed by the third day when 10,697 customers withdrew a staggering Tk 381 crore.

Demand for fund withdrawals remains high as the institution processes ongoing requests from anxious account holders. On Thursday alone, a significant new wave of financial applications was recorded, with 11,385 fresh applications submitted to the bank. Through these latest filings, customers have collectively requested a total of Tk 374 crore.

Administrative preparations for this large-scale financial rollout were established weeks prior to the actual payouts. The bank officially commenced the formal application acceptance phase for customer withdrawals on September 1, which was closely followed by the rollout of the actual payment distribution process beginning a week later on September 7.

Providing an update on the current operational status, bank official Mo. Abedur Rahman Sikdar stated that the fund distribution process is proceeding actively in accordance with customer applications. He noted that a notable number of customers are successfully withdrawing their funds each and every day, while confirming that the bank maintains a steady flow of incoming funds alongside its regular, normal transactional activities.
