Sabreen Saka Meem Opens Up on Career, Marriage and Divorce

Bangladeshi actress Sabreen Saka Meem has opened up about various aspects of her personal life and professional trajectory in a recent interview. Speaking about her journey in the entertainment industry, she noted that she initially began her career as a child artist before navigating several significant changes in her personal and professional circumstances.

Addressing her marital life, Sabreen Saka Meem shared that she married out of choice. However, that marriage ultimately ended in divorce after lasting for five and a half years. Reflecting on the separation and the shared responsibility of the relationship, she stated, "I will not blame anyone. Perhaps I was also at fault, and he was at fault too. Applause does not happen with just one hand."

During this challenging period, she received crucial backing from her loved ones. Her family supported her throughout the divorce and even accompanied her on a trip to the United States, where they spent about two and a half months together.

Professionally, Sabreen Saka Meem experienced notable shifts in her career path over the years. She stopped acting in television dramas following 2012, a decision she made partly to respect the preferences of her in-laws at the time.

Following her departure from television drama acting, she transitioned into journalism and broadcasting. She began working as a news presenter in 2013, maintaining this career until she eventually left the job in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
