Robi Axiota PLC has officially transitioned its Airtel brand into a new identity named 'Circle', marking a significant shift in the country's telecommunications landscape. The formal unveiling of the newly minted brand took place at an event held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.

The introduction of the Circle brand signifies the beginning of a fresh chapter following 16 years of operations under the Airtel banner in Bangladesh. During this extensive period, the brand established a strong presence, particularly among the nation's younger demographic, before transitioning into its current form under Robi Axiota PLC.

Speaking on the occasion, Ziad Shatara reflected on the brand's history and its future direction as it transitions into its new identity. He noted that over the past 16 years, Airtel has grown alongside the youth of Bangladesh, and described the launch of Circle as the natural next step in that ongoing journey.

Elaborating on the transition, Shatara emphasized that while the name of the brand is changing, the fundamental commitments made to the customers will remain entirely unchanged. He stressed that the primary focus is now not merely on connecting more people, but rather on making those digital connections significantly more meaningful.

To ensure a smooth transition for the existing user base, all current Airtel customers will automatically become customers of Circle without requiring any manual intervention. Furthermore, their existing 016 mobile numbers, current service packages, account balances, and all other associated services will remain fully active and unchanged as before.
