According to state television broadcasts, Putin noted that Ukraine has significantly intensified its drone strikes against Russian economic targets throughout the current summer season.
Addressing the consequences of these military actions, Putin stated that Kyiv had attempted to inflict damage on the Russian economy, but in doing so had created a situation whose ultimate consequences they would now be forced to bear. He explicitly warned that Ukraine must consequently prepare to face retaliatory attacks directed at its most sensitive economic sectors.
