Pakistan to Host Sri Lanka and England in Busy Autumn Cricket Schedule

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to host a busy and comprehensive international home schedule running from October to November, welcoming both the Sri Lankan and English national cricket teams. This extensive stretch of matches will showcase various formats of the game, bringing top-tier international cricket back to Pakistan and offering local fans an action-packed autumn of sporting fixtures.

The Sri Lanka cricket team is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on 4 October to kick off the tour with a three-match T20 international series. All three of these T20 matches will take place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the individual fixtures officially slated for 9, 11, and 13 October respectively.

Following the conclusion of the T20 matches, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England will participate in a three-team One Day International (ODI) tri-nation series. This multi-nation tournament will run from 18 to 31 October, with matches distributed across venues in Rawalpindi and Lahore to accommodate the three competing squads.

As the tri-nation ODI series reaches its conclusion, the tournament's high-stakes final match will be held on 31 October at the historic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, determining the champion of the three-team competition before the teams transition to the longer format of the game.

Rather than departing immediately after the white-ball fixtures, the Sri Lankan team will remain in the country to prepare for the upcoming red-ball matches. The visitors are scheduled to play a three-day warm-up match in Islamabad from 4 to 6 November, which will serve as vital preparation before they officially transition into the Test series against the hosts.
