New York Remittance and Trade Fair 2025 Spotlights US-Bangladesh Ties

The Bangladesh USA Chamber of Commerce and Industries has continued its collaboration with the mainstream Greater New York Chamber of Commerce to jointly organize large-scale trade fairs and remittance fairs in the United States. This ongoing partnership highlights the expanding institutional bridges between the two business communities, fostering deeper economic cooperation and engagement through major annual public events held abroad.

For the 2025 edition of the New York Remittance Fair and Trade Fair, the organizers secured high-level representation from the United States government. Kelly Loeffler, who serves as the head of the Small Business Administration under the Trump administration, participated in the major international gathering as the chief guest, underscoring the official significance attached to the bilateral trade and remittance event.

The institutional framework behind these exhibitions involves significant organizational weight from both American and Bangladeshi entities. The Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, which is one of the key collaborating bodies, boasts a substantial network comprising approximately 35,000 members within the regional business ecosystem. Alongside these organizers, prominent apex trade bodies from South Asia, including the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association, maintain a strong structural connection to the overarching commercial dialogue.

Historically, the bilateral relationship between the United States and Bangladesh has also encompassed critical humanitarian and public health cooperation alongside commercial ventures. As part of past diplomatic and health sector engagements, the United States government previously provided Bangladesh with a substantial supply of 50 million vaccine doses to support public health initiatives within the country.

The 2025 New York Remittance Fair and Trade Fair drew participation from a diverse roster of notable individuals and organizational stakeholders. Among those associated with the broader network of the event are Dr. Masud, Dr. Chowdhury Hafiz আহসান, and Gloria Star Keen, who contribute to the ongoing bilateral engagement between the respective institutional partners in New York and Bangladesh.
