New Pay Scale Likely This Year, Says Finance Minister Amir Khasru

Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has indicated the strong possibility of declaring a new pay scale within the current year. The announcement comes in the wake of an important meeting regarding the pay scale that took place on August 17 at the Ministry of Finance, drawing significant attention from public sector employees and officials alike.

The discussions at the finance ministry on that August afternoon mark a crucial step forward in the ongoing administrative process for the upcoming pay structure. Previously, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister ABM Abdus Sattar had informed stakeholders that the ninth national pay scale was already in its final stages of preparation.
