National Press Club Hosts Vibrant Qawwali Evening in Dhaka
The National Press Club courtyard came alive on Friday evening with a vibrant qawwali night. Artists performed a diverse selection of Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu qawwalis for the gathered audience.

The courtyard of the National Press Club served as the vibrant venue for a special cultural gathering on Friday evening. Organized directly by the National Press Club, the event brought together journalists, cultural enthusiasts, and numerous notable figures to enjoy a traditional qawwali night.
The musical proceedings featured performances by Sameer Kawal, Syed Sajjad Hossain Arman, and their respective musical troupes. Together, the artists delivered an engaging repertoire that entertained the attendees gathered within the Press Club premises.
During the course of the Friday evening programme, the performers presented a variety of musical pieces spanning multiple languages. The setlist included traditional qawwalis sung in Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu, showcasing a diverse cultural blend for the audience.
A significant number of prominent individuals were present at the National Press Club courtyard to witness the cultural event. Among the attendees were Ayub Bhuiyan, Hasan Hafiz, Kader Gani Chowdhury, Zahir Uddin Swapan, AZM Zahid Hossain, and Anwarullah Chowdhury.
The gathering also saw the participation of Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, Bakhtiyar Rana, Abdul Hai Sikder, Syed Abdal Ahmad, Kazi Raunak Hossain, Shahnaz Begum Poly, Mohammad Momin Hossain, Masumur Rahman Khalili, AKM Mohsin, and Zahidul Islam Roni.
