Naogaon Club Distributes Goats and Meals for Token Prices

In a remarkable humanitarian initiative in Naogaon, the welfare club 'Friends Panel Naogaon' has distributed livestock and meals to low-income residents in exchange for nominal token amounts. The charitable event took place on August 14, 2026, drawing significant attention from the local community and community leaders alike. The organizing club, which was originally established in 2016 by a group of ten young individuals, has now grown to encompass sixty-three dedicated members as it marks its two-hundredth consecutive week of activities.

During the special program held on the premises of BIAM Laboratory School and College in Naogaon Sadar, a total of twenty impoverished families received one goat each. Rather than providing the livestock entirely for free, the organizers set a symbolic price of just ten taka per family for the animals. This thoughtful approach aims to support sustainable livelihood generation for vulnerable households while preserving the dignity of the recipients through a nominal contribution.

In addition to the distribution of livestock, the charitable organization extended its outreach by providing a wholesome midday meal to approximately four and a half hundred people. Demonstrating the same spirit of affordability and inclusivity, the organization charged only one taka per person for the freshly prepared lunch. This massive community feeding effort underscored the club's ongoing commitment to alleviating food insecurity among underprivileged populations in the region.

The high-profile event was graced by Member of Parliament for the Naogaon Sadar constituency, Jahidul Islam Dhalu, who attended as the chief guest. His presence highlighted the official recognition and institutional support for grassroots humanitarian efforts operating within the district. The lawmaker interacted with the organizers, participants, and beneficiaries during the proceedings on the school and college grounds.

Expressing his admiration for the initiative, the chief guest delivered an inspiring speech praising the young organizers for their dedication to social welfare. Jahidul Islam Dhalu remarked, 'When youths are wasting time on drugs and social media, such arrangements are a unique example. I appreciate this work of theirs.' Furthermore, the chief guest concluded his address by offering assurances that he would stand by the organization and support its beneficial endeavors in the future.
