Nahid Returns to Bowling at Mirpur Academy After Injury
Nahid has resumed bowling with a short run-up at the Mirpur Academy ground following a Grade-2 side strain sustained during the Zimbabwe tour. The injury previously sidelined him for approximately six weeks and kept him out of Bangladesh's Test series against Australia.

Cricketer Nahid has officially returned to the practice pitch by starting to bowl with a short run-up at the Mirpur Academy ground. This development marks a significant step in his recovery process after being sidelined for approximately six weeks due to a physical setback sustained during international duty earlier in the summer.
The injury occurred on July 17 during the second Twenty20 international of the Bangladesh tour of Zimbabwe. During that fixture, Nahid sustained an injury to his left side. Subsequent medical evaluations confirmed that he was suffering from a Grade-2 side strain, which necessitated an immediate and extended period of rest and rehabilitation away competitive cricket.
As a direct consequence of this severe physical strain, the bowler was ruled out of contention for Bangladesh's subsequent Test series against Australia. The nature of the Grade-2 side strain required careful medical management to ensure proper healing and to prevent any long-term damage to his bowling capability.
In pursuit of the best possible medical evaluation for his recovery, Nahid was sent to Australia during the final days of July. While abroad, he consulted with specialist physicians who assessed the Grade-2 side strain and provided professional guidance on his rehabilitation regimen and timeline for returning to the sport.
The ongoing recovery process reached a positive milestone on August 31 at the Mirpur Academy ground in Dhaka. Under the watchful eyes of relevant personnel, including individuals associated with the Bangladesh Cricket Board framework such as Talha Jubayer and Bayezidul Islam Khan, Nahid took his first steps back toward full fitness by bowling with a short run-up.
