Mehedi Hasan Miraz Departs for West Indies to Play in CPL

Bangladesh all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz has officially departed for the West Indies to participate in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL). The national cricketer embarked on his journey on Saturday, boarding a flight with Biman Bangladesh to join the tournament abroad.

In this edition of the prestigious Caribbean franchise tournament, Mehedi Hasan Miraz will be representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors. He joins a notable roster at the franchise that features several prominent international and regional stars, including Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Glenn Phillips, Romario Shepherd, Shamar Joseph, and Mohammad Nabi.

Before embarking on this new Caribbean assignment with the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Miraz shared his thoughts on the upcoming tournament. Expressing his enthusiasm for the overseas opportunity, he stated, “নতুন এক চ্যালেঞ্জের জন্য সিপিএলের পথে। গায়ানা অ্যামাজন ওয়ারিয়র্সের সঙ্গে ক্যারিবিয়ান যাত্রা আলিঙ্গন করতে প্রস্তুত।”

This stint in the Caribbean Premier League marks another chapter in Miraz’s experiences playing in prominent international franchise Twenty20 leagues. Previously, the talented all-rounder showcased his skills in the Lanka Premier League (LPL), where he represented the Galle Gladiators franchise in foreign conditions.

During his previous outings in foreign franchise league cricket, specifically while playing four matches in the Lanka Premier League for the Galle Gladiators, Miraz accumulated a total of 44 runs with the bat. Now, the cricketer aims to bring his international experience and all-round capabilities to the Guyana Amazon Warriors as he takes on this fresh challenge in the West Indies.
