Renowned Bangladeshi singer Sabina Yasmin was born on September 4, 1954. Her ancestral roots are traced to Satkhira, though she spent her formative years growing up in Narayanganj. Coming from a musical and supportive family background, her father was Lutfur Rahman and her mother was Begum Mouluda Khatun, both of whom played a foundational role in her early life within Bangladesh.

Sabina Yasmin officially entered the professional music industry by making her very first playback appearance in the 1967 film 'Agun Niye Khela'. This milestone cinematic project was jointly directed by filmmakers Amzad Hossain and Nurul Haque Bachchu.
