Lakshmipur Youth Launches Innovative Fish Fast-Food Business
A young entrepreneur in Lakshmipur has introduced a variety of ready-to-eat fish fast-food items at his new shop. Fisheries officials note this value-added approach could create new employment opportunities and boost fish consumption.

In a creative business initiative launched late last year, young entrepreneur Md. Riyad established a food establishment named 'Time Pass' located right in front of Lakshmipur Government College. Operating within the Lakshmipur area, the shop focuses on offering a diverse selection of delicious fast-food and ready-to-eat products prepared directly from fish.
Customers visiting the 'Time Pass' establishment can choose from an array of specialized fish-based menu items. The available ready-to-eat products include fish cutlets, fish balls, fish fingers, fish burgers, and fish momos, bringing unique seafood alternatives to local consumers.
Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury commented extensively on the significance of this local business venture. He stated that the initiative of producing ready-to-eat food through the value addition of fish is creating new potential within the country's fisheries sector.
According to Md. Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury, this innovative food preparation method will increase the overall consumption and utilization of fish. Furthermore, it ensures that safe and nutritious food reaches people easily while simultaneously generating new entrepreneurs and employment opportunities.
