Japanese Group Submits Bid to Run Shahjalal Airport's Third Terminal

A Japanese sub-working group has taken a significant step toward managing the operation and maintenance of the third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The formal proposal for running these crucial terminal activities was submitted directly to the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.

The submission event took place on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, located in Kurmitola, Dhaka. This high-level institutional meeting marked a formal progression in the discussions surrounding the future management of the newly developed airport infrastructure.

During the proceedings at the headquarters, Masahiru Hirai officially presented the comprehensive proposal on behalf of the Japanese sub-working group. The documents were handed directly to the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostofa Mahmud Siddique.

As part of the official submission process, the Japanese delegation provided distinct and separate documentation containing both technical and financial proposals. These detailed files outline the framework and projections proposed by the sub-working group for overseeing the massive terminal operations.

Following this official handover at the Kurmitola headquarters, the newly submitted proposals will undergo a rigorous evaluation process. According to the established procedure, the documents will be reviewed by the Request for Proposal evaluation committee, which was specifically formed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
