Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian convened a high-level meeting with key economic officials, including Minister of Economy and Finance Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, Central Bank Governor Abdolnasser Hemmati, and a group of prominent economists, according to an official statement published on the website of the Iranian President's Office.

During the discussions, President Pezeshkian emphasized Tehran's strategic approach toward resolving ongoing international complications through dialogue and communication. However, he explicitly stated that Iran has maintained a firm stance against any form of economic pressure since the very beginning and will continue to uphold this resolute position in the future.

Addressing the current financial climate, the Iranian president expressed confidence in the administrative and economic sectors' comprehensive preparations. He asserted that due to this robust state of readiness, the United States will not be able to secure any advantageous outcomes by applying pressure during this current phase.

The economic consultations come amid escalating financial threats from Washington. United States President Donald Trump announced the initiation of a targeted economic campaign against countries continuing to provide assistance to Iran, a maneuver he has publicly designated as an economic D-Day.

These financial hostilities unfold against a backdrop of recent direct military confrontations in the region. On February 28, Israel and the United States jointly launched a series of military attacks targeting Tehran and various other Iranian cities, prompting the Iranian armed forces to launch retaliatory missile and drone strikes during forty days of active warfare.

Despite the severe military escalations and the lingering economic fallout from the recent conflict, diplomatic channels eventually yielded a significant development. On June 18, a memorandum of understanding was formally signed between the United States and Iran, successfully bringing an end to hostilities across all active fronts, including Lebanon.
