Instagram Launches New Feature to Add Tagged Posts Directly to Main Profile Grid
Instagram has introduced a new feature allowing users to add tagged photos and videos directly to their main profile grid starting September 10. Previously, these tagged posts were restricted to a separate designated tab on the platform.
Instagram has officially launched a new functionality that enables users to display tagged photos or videos directly on their main profile grid, according to updates announced on September 10. Prior to the rollout of this new option, any content in which a user was tagged by others was exclusively visible within a separate, dedicated 'tagged' tab located on their profile page.
To provide flexibility in managing this content, Instagram has incorporated multiple methods for users to incorporate tagged posts onto their primary grid. Individuals can now choose to add these posts directly through direct message notifications, by utilizing the three-dot menu found on a specific post, or simply by long-pressing the content while browsing within the 'tagged' tab.
Despite the added visibility on the main profile grid, platform privacy controls continue to govern who is able to view the content. These specific privacy settings determine audience accessibility based on the combined account settings of both the user whose profile is being viewed and the original poster of the content.
In addition to the introduction of the tagged posts grid feature, Instagram has recently rolled out several other functional updates designed to enhance user customization and content creation. These newly added features include the ability to rearrange grid posts, a 'first draft' tool intended for automatic video editing, and an option to 'replace audio' in media posts.
