During his appearance on TalkSport, Jackman shared the news directly with listeners while discussing the landscape of English football. "You’re the first one to know that. There’s a little exclusive," the actor remarked before explicitly confirming his stance, stating, "I’m very, very interested in talking about it right now."

Jackman's interest aligns with a growing trend of high-profile entertainment figures investing in lower-tier English teams. Notably, fellow actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney famously purchased Wrexham in 2021, a venture that has since brought global attention to the club. When asked about his friend and rival Reynolds' involvement with Wrexham, Jackman offered a lighthearted response: "Good on Ryan. You do your thing. I’m all about the Canaries."
